Good morning!
It's been six months since we debuted the first edition of The Alamance Fabric, and the community response has been overwhelming. It's clear from your input and support that The Alamance Fabric fills a need for news and community connection—and now we at NC Local want to hear from you on how we can improve and better meet your needs.
We kicked off last fall with a community event hosted by Impact Alamance, which supports this initiative through a grant. Our first edition in January covered how Tropical Storm Chantal redefined Alamance County's flooding risk, and since then we've reported on schools, government budgets and people shaping the community. We're grateful to Laura Brache, who stewarded this newsletter through its first six months, and we wish her well on her next chapter.
Our first six months served as a launch phase to experiment and listen to Alamance residents about what's needed in a local news product. As we plan the next steps for The Alamance Fabric, we want to continue hearing from you. What's important for us to cover? What questions do you have about your community? Take our survey. We'll be back after a short break with new editions that reflect your responses.
